Publicist, singer, composer, and actor Gian Marco was raised in the heart of a family already involved in entertainment. Actress Regina Alcóver and singer/songwriter Joe Danova celebrated the birth of their son on August 17, 1970. Gian Marco became a child star in Argentina and Venezuela soon after, making his debut as an actor while playing a role alongside his mother in Papito Piernas Largas ("Long Legs Daddy").
After participating in the OTI festival in 1989, Gian Marco signed his first record deal, releasing a self-titled album in 1990 which featured the hit single "Mírame." It was followed by Personal, produced in Santiago, Chile, and 1994's Entre la Arena y la Luna. After issuing a tribute to the Peruvian traditional music called Señora Cuenteme and 1997's Al Quinto Dia, Gian Marco started getting international recognition, having the opportunity to compose for Marc Anthony, Thalía, and Gloria Estefan, among other Latin artists. ~ Drago Bonacich, All Music Guide
